The story behind Perplica

Hi, I’m Ikou. I built Perplica because I kept seeing the same problem: companies making big decisions about people based on shallow profiles and gut feelings.

Traditional market research is slow, expensive, and often tells you what people say they’ll do — not how they actually think. Surveys miss the cognitive biases. Interviews are hard to scale. Focus groups are logistically painful.

So I asked: what if you could simulate the psychology behind decisions? Not a chatbot pretending to be a customer, but a model with real personality dimensions, persistent memory, emotional states that evolve, and cognitive patterns that stay consistent.

That question became Perplica. I spent months studying personality psychology, cognitive science, and emotional dynamics to design a system that models how real people process conversations — not just what they say, but why.

Where this is going

Perplica is in beta. The core product works — you can create psychologically rich personas, have real conversations with them, run focus groups, and see what’s happening inside their heads. But there’s a lot more to build.

I want Perplica to become the standard tool for understanding people before you build for them. Product teams testing positioning. Founders validating ideas. Researchers running studies in hours instead of months. Marketers crafting messages that resonate on a psychological level.
