These terms govern the website at www.perplica.com and the application at app.perplica.com (together, the service), provided by Pixelik Ltd, trading as Perplica, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17057272) with registered office at First Floor Office, 3 Hornton Place, London, W8 4LZ, United Kingdom. By applying for access or using the service you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Perplica is persona simulation for market research. It lets you build simulated personas, hold conversations with them, run focus groups, compare variants, test stimuli and compile studies into reports. Personas are software simulations powered by large language models. They are not real people, and their responses are not professional advice of any kind.
2. The private beta
- Access is granted by application and may be declined, limited or revoked at our discretion.
- The service is free during the beta. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before any charge applies to your account.
- Features may change, be limited or be removed while the beta runs. We will give reasonable notice of material changes to the service or to these terms; continued use after notice is acceptance.
- Feedback you give us about the service may be used to improve it without obligation to you.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and use the service for professional research purposes. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to generate unlawful, harassing or deceptive content; to attempt to re-identify or target real individuals through simulated personas; to model real, identifiable individuals; to probe, disrupt or overload the service; or to resell access without our written agreement. Simulated research output must never be represented as responses from real research participants.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create and upload: persona definitions, conversations, files and research material. You grant us only the rights needed to operate the service: storing your content, processing it through the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy, and showing it back to you. We do not use your content to train models. You confirm that you have the right to upload the material you attach, including any consents required for interview recordings or transcripts.
6. AI-generated output
Persona responses are generated by large language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete or biased. Output is a rehearsal, not a replacement, for talking to real customers, and does not constitute statistically valid market research on its own. You are responsible for how you use it in your own decisions.
7. Data, export and deletion
You can export your data and delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is permanent. What we store, for how long, and what survives deletion is set out in the Privacy Policy.
8. Availability
The service is provided as is during the beta, without uptime guarantees. We may suspend it for maintenance or for security reasons.
9. Intellectual property
The service, its software, its persona templates and the content of the website belong to Pixelik Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers them to you. Your content remains yours as set out in section 5.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which during the free beta is zero, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or when the beta ends, with reasonable notice where the circumstances allow. Where practicable you will be able to export your data before deletion.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from the service.
